Myths and Legends of the World

Hello everyone - I'm hoping someone can help me. For a birthday gift for my brother I got him a silver tankard with a dragon handle. I'd like to get it engraved with a quote from Beowulf. He loves this book as well as norse mythology, and King Aurther - can anyone think of an appropriate line from either Beowulf or something from one of these other texts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
